Ubuntu 13.04 Released : Free Download Or Upgrade Now

The latest version of your most favorite Linux distro Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail has been officially released today. So if you are thinking to install Ubuntu on a new machine then get the latest version of Ubuntu 13.04 or if you are running an Ubuntu PC then upgrade to Ubuntu 13.04. Like other previous version Ubuntu 13.04 is available in both 32bit ( Old machine ) and 64bit ( New machine). So if you have a new machine then grab the 64bit version.


Here I want to mention that like previous some version of Ubuntru you will not get the Wubi installer with this version mean you will not be able to make a duel boot PC via install in Windows mode. But you can make a duel boot with Windows via boot mode like you do. Ubuntu 13.04 is not an LTS version mean you will not get as much as support with respect to previous version Ubuntu 12.10. Ubuntu 13.04 includes the 3.8.0-19.29 Ubuntu Linux kernel.

So if you are thinking to Upgrade your computer to Ubuntu 13.04 then here is the guide , but make sure you are running 12.10. If you are using a lower version than upgrade to 12.10 then upgrade to 13.04. So lets roll to upgrade from Ubuntu 12.10 to Ubuntu 13.04

Step 1: Open Software Sources.
Step 2: Now press Alt+F2 and type in “update-manager” (without the quotes) into the command box.
Step 3: Then your Update Manager will tell you that ” New distribution release ‘13.04’ is available.”
Step 4: Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.
