How To Upgrade Your Mac To OS X Mountain Lion From Lion Or Snow Leopard
Mac OS X Mountain Lion is released and now available to buy and install at a price of $19.99. So if you are thinking to upgrade to Mac OS X Mountain Lion v10.8 from previous version of Mac OS X then this guide will help you.
So How to Upgrade to Mac OS X Mountain Lion v10.8?
Step 1: Check your Mac is compatible for New OS X Mountain Lion v10.8
Your Mac must be one of the following models:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
For Lion user click on Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then choosing About This Mac, then clicking More Info to know about your Mac
Step 2: Check your Mac have Lion or the latest version of Snow Leopard.
You can upgrade to Mac OS X Mountain Lion v10.8 only if your current OS X is Lion (10.7.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x).
If you are using Lion then just go to Step 3 and if you are using Snow Leopard (10.6.x) then first update to the latest version of OS X Snow Leopard then goto Step 3
Step 3:Buy & Download OS X Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store.
Just open the Mac App Store then buy and download Mountain Lion. Then follow the onscreen guide to install it. If you don’t have broadband access, you can visit any Apple Retail Store to get help with downloading.
