How to install MIUI 10 9.2.21 on Redmi Note 5 Pro with Face App Unlock Feature

Xiaomi has launched the Global Beta ROM MIUI 10 9.2.21 for Redmi Note 5 Pro. But the main attention of this MIUI 10 9.2.21 for Redmi Note 5 Pro is face App unlock feature. Mean you can unlock any private app with face unlock feature. Even this feature not available on the latest same build of Redmi Note 6 Pro. In this post, I am going to guide you how to download MIUI 10 9.2.21 ROM for Redmi Note 5 Pro and install it. This MIUI 10 9.2.21 ROM for Redmi Note 5 Pro is based on Android Oreo 8.1 with latest security patches. So if you have Redmi Note 5 Pro then you can install this ROM to get this new feature Face App Unlock.

The installation method is pretty straight forward. The basic requirement to install this MIUI 10 9.2.21 Global Beta ROM on Redmi Note 5 Pro is you Redmi Nore 5 Pro must have TWRP installed. If you don’t have TWRP recovery installed on your Redmi Note 5 Pro then first you need to unlock bootloader and then install TWRP custom Recovery. Once you have installed TWRP Recovery on Redmi Note 5 Pro you can proceed to install MIUI 10 version 9.2.21 Global Beta ROM on Redmi Note 5 Pro.

How to install MIUI 10 9.2.21 Global Beta ROM on Redmi Note 5 pro 

N.B: You must have TWRP installed on your device and this process will format app data. So take backup.

1. Download this ROM file from here 
2. Copy paste this ROM zip file inside the internal storage of Redmi Note 5 Pro
3. Make sure your device has above 50% battery charge
4. Switch off your device to boot into TWRP Recovery
5. Once the phone is switched off completely, press and hold Power+Vol Up buttons
6. The device will boot into TWRP recovery
7. Now tap on the WIPE > Advanced Wipe > Select Data, Cache, Dalvik and System, then swipe to wipe
8. Now go back to the main menu of TWRP and tap on install and browse the ROM Zip file
9. Once you have got the ROM zip file just select it and swipe to flash it.
10. It will take some time to flash the ROM.
11. Once it has done just tap on reboot system.
12. Again it will take some to boot into the android mode and finally, you will have Redmi Note 5 Pro with MIUI 10 v9.2.21

Hope you have successfully installed MIUI 10 9.2.21 Global Beta ROM on your Redmi Note 5 Pro. But the main attraction of this device is the face app unlock feature. Normally face unlocking feature just unlock your phone. You can’t use it to unlock private app such as email WhatsApp, Facebook and etc.

So to get access the face app unlock feature just go to Settings> App unlock >> Settings or gear icon and scroll down and you will see Face unlock just bellow unlock with fingerprint.
